3 – Western Loop

Distance: 5KM
Climbing: 77 vm
Trail Rating: Beginner
Time: 30 mins
Route Sign Color: Orange

The Western Loop is marked with orange #3 signage, and begins just near the trailhead map structure. It duplicates the #2 loop for a short way, before heading off over Teagues road and into Loggers Lane and then on to the Home Bake trail where the fun begins.

There are dozens of amazing timber structures that take the rider up and over huge fallen trees & geographical features, many of these (but not all) have B lines that are clearly marked and allow the beginner or less experienced rider to continue along the loop with confidence.

The trail is a little more demanding than the Teagues loop, both because of the many structures and also due to the steepish climbing near the end.
